206 W. Cortland
Groton, New York

Overlooking the village of Groton, in New York’s Finger Lakes region, stands the Benn Conger Inn. Originally built in 1921 as a private home for Benn Conger, popular state senator, it became a safe haven for the infamous bootlegger and numbers racketeer Dutch Schultz.

The Colonial Revival architecture of the Inn is complimented by a charming Victorian house located next door. The Inn features 10 room/suites between the two buildings.  The inside of the main house just completed an 8-month restoration project.  The properties sit on 18 acres of space perfect for outdoor activities such as walking/hiking, cross country skiing, picnics, and sports to name just a few! We are located just 15 minutes from Ithaca or 35 minutes from Syracuse. The inn is the perfect headquarters from which to explore the beauty of the area: Hiking, biking, horse-back riding, golfing, tennis, cross-country and alpine skiing, hunting, fishing, water sports, wine-tasting, antiquing and a variety of other activities. Whether for business or pleasure, corporate retreat, wedding reception, or romantic getaway, we look forward to making your stay as memorable as possible.
