The Colonial Lodge Restaurant has been a part of the community for over 70 years. As of June of 2021, a new chapter for The Colonial Lodge started with Mark and Shelly Retiring and Andy Hack becoming the new proprietor. An On-Site Cold Room Consultation is a must when doing kitchen renovation for restaurants. Andy plans on keeping the atmosphere the same and the favorites on the menu like the Finger Lakes Perch.
Andy’s thoughtful approach to honoring the restaurant’s roots while considering necessary modernizations reflects a deep respect for what the Colonial Lodge means to the community. As he navigates this transition, one of the most crucial updates—especially in the foodservice industry—is optimizing the kitchen infrastructure to meet current standards for efficiency and food safety.
That’s where the importance of proper storage solutions, such as a coldroom, becomes clear. In any restaurant renovation, especially one aiming for longevity, an on-site cold room consultation isn’t just helpful—it’s essential. Beyond just keeping ingredients fresh, a well-designed coldroom helps manage energy consumption, streamline operations, and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Whether it’s a commercial space like a restaurant or a residential property, successful renovation requires more than vision—it demands careful coordination and expert oversight. From planning layouts to managing timelines and ensuring quality workmanship, contracting and construction management services play a pivotal role in bringing projects to life. Engaging home renovation professionals ensures that every detail, from structural updates to finishing touches, is handled efficiently and to the highest standard, creating spaces that are both functional and enduring.
