Action Sports, now in its 19th year of business, is gearing up for winter sports like cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and fat biking. With another successful season of cycling behind us, we move forward to embrace winter fitness opportunities.

The Fischer Spider 62 crown-mounted cross-country ski is the width of a touring ski but has full metal edges like the back-country ski making it a versatile light-weight performance ski. Fischer boots and poles complete the ensemble. Enjoy the health benefits of this form of exercise, which can burn off calories and strengthen muscles.

Action Sports has old new stock marked down. Find deals on Madshus skis and boots, Salomon boots, Karhu and Alpina cross-country ski boots as long as we have your size. Louis Garneau cycling clothing is marked down in our Clothing Bargain Corner. Long and short-sleeved bicycle jerseys, jackets and tights are discounted for quick sale. 2019 bicycles are 20% off and select cross-country skis and boots are 50% off. They make great gifts for the fitness member of your family.

Northern Lites snowshoes continue to sell well. Excellent crampons and cleats all around the frame of the shoe make them stable. Runners cross-train on them and maple sugar gatherers use them to get to their trees. They can be rented at Lime Hollow Nature Center, giving the potential customer an opportunity to try them out. With less gear to place in the car, they are easy to transport to your favorite snowy trail.

Action Sports has been selling Specialized Bicycles for 14 years. Models like the Stumpjumper, Rockhopper, Epic, Pitch and Hardrock continue to be popular mountain bikes. With hydraulic disc brakes, Fox forks and carbon frames, these pedaled machines equip the rider to ride the woodland trail in style and comfort. Group rides through the woods are a great way to stay healthy and get some exercise.

There are road models like the Roubaix that give the rider speed and performance. Fat bikes offer extra traction and stability with wide-profile wheels and tires. Fitness models like the Sirrus continue to be excellent commuter bikes. Action Sports stocks children’s bikes right down to the Hotwalk balance bike.
