Midway Sales to Host 30th Anniversary Customer Appreciation Day

You may know Midway Sales as the “Amish Country Store”. If you are a native of our region, you may have grown alongside this business as it has expanded throughout the past 30 years.  Midway Sales will be hosting a celebratory Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, June 8th, from 9-6 pm. This anniversary celebration will include a chicken BBQ that starts at noon, live country music from 3 to 6 pm, door prizes and giveaways throughout the day, and promising fun for the whole family!

Located at 3106 Route 11 in Lisle, NY, Midway Sales was started in 1989 on land that was cleared by Albert Shrauger, while their son and current owner, Tim Shrauger, was a senior nearing his high school graduation. The business had its humble start with four sheds, one of which housed the office and another for storage. At this time, Midway Sales offered mainly sheds, gazebos, and outdoor furniture. Midway Sales celebrated its Grand Opening on June 30th of that year. Since that day, Midway Sales has remained a small local business run primarily by Tim, his wife Lori, and their daughter, Ashley.

The first two rooms in the building that now houses Midway Sales’ showrooms were built in 1992, and the store began to offer indoor furniture. The third room was added to the building approximately 3-4 years later. The building, having now grown to 10,000 sq ft, boasts an impressive collection of handcrafted Amish indoor furnishings, including table and chair sets, bedroom sets, entertainment centers, glider rockers, pictures and drying racks, plus a big line of wood and poly outdoor furniture.

The exterior inventory has grown, as well, and contains a diverse array of outdoor structures of different sizes and functions. At Midway Sales, you can find sheds priced as low as $1,500 to double garages from $13,000 to $27,000. Horse barns, children’s playhouses, chicken coops: Midway Sales offers all of these and more. If it isn’t in stock, you can browse their catalogs for the design and features that you desire, and they will build it to order. Midway Sales even offers free delivery within a 50 mile radius on all outdoor structures! Your shed, gazebo, or garage will be delivered by experienced professionals.
