The Center Lisle Diner

Down country road 79, less than 5 miles North of the I 81 South exit ramp in Whitney Point, is a little diner that is seeking to make a name for itself in the restaurant industry. The Center Lisle Diner!! This little family owned diner has changed its menu and its hours a couple of times since opening in June 2018, looking for the best way to serve the community. One thing that hasn’t changed is the quality of food coming from the kitchen. I’ve eaten there several times over the last few months and I haven’t been disappointed in any of my meals. From the Chicken and Biscuits to the Pizza and Wings… everything is flavorful and cooked to perfection. They have a wide array of lunch options from fresh salads, tasty sandwiches, savory soups and juicy burgers. Every night, in addition to their full dinner menu, there is a different special: Monday’s is rotating, Tuesday is Chicken and Biscuits, Thursday is Spaghetti and Meatballs and Friday is a crispy fried Fish dinner. Their full dinner menu also includes 8oz hand formed burgers with crispy french fries, Pork Chop with mashed potato, veg and your choice of soup or salad for only $7.49 and T-bone Steak Dinner for $18.99. My personal favorites are the Broccoli and Cheddar soup, Pizzas, Wings and Fish dinner on Friday night. That fish is so crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside… YUM! Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday night is Pizza and Wings only. They have homemade crust and your standard cheese and pepperoni toppings as well as chicken bacon ranch, buffalo chicken, and meat lovers just to name a few, plus our stuffed Stromboli’s. Saturday is also dedicated to their famous Chicken BBQ cooked over an open gill outside, served both inside and outside from noon til gone. To satisfy that sweet tooth, the Center Lisle Diner has hard ice cream as well has homemade desserts, pies and muffins. The chocolate pie is downright scrumptious. They are open every day from 11am to 8pm except for Wednesdays when they are open from 5pm to 8pm. Call ahead order to go 607-849-4900.
