CLN Mercantile of Fabius, NY celebrates its one-year anniversary on Sunday, August 5th!
What is CLN Mercantile, you ask? One definition of “mercantile” is a “general store”. Charlene and Mike Nicholas, owners of CLN Mercantile, identify their business as the more modern “convenience store”, in the truest sense of the word. “We try to meet as many of the needs of the community as we can,” Charlene said.
CLN Mercantile offers a little bit of everything: antiques, arts and crafts by local artisans; gift items; “camp” groceries (basic necessities); and fishing equipment; not to mention that CLN Mercantile is even a NAPA satellite location, which carries automotive parts! CLN Mercantile boasts a full-service kitchen from which breakfast, lunch, dinner, baked goods, soups, chilis, and deli sandwiches are made using the freshest ingredients available. The multi-faceted business also provides a catering service and a small community room where book clubs and other groups can meet.
If you are out and about on Sunday, August 5th, stop in for a meal at CLN Mercantile, browse the variety of goods inside, and help celebrate this community business’s first anniversary!
