CNY Living History Center

Our exhibits won’t be the only things changing around the CNY Living History Center this year. One of the biggest and most exciting changes happening this year is a total regrading, repaving, and striping of our entire parking lot. We got a very generous donation of $215,000 from Peter Grimm to complete this endeavor. This will no doubt have a very noticeable impact on the Center, and cannot begin to thank Peter enough along with all of our donors for supporting us. We will also be building an illuminated road sign that will be 12 feet wide and 8 feet high and stand on posts 20 feet in the air. This new sign will be seen for miles around and hopefully attract more people to our museum. Now people will longer have any excuses for saying, “we didn’t know this place was here!” Our storage shed that used to stand out back of the building has been torn down. It was sold and torn down at no cost to the Living History Center. Where it used to stand, is where the Nadge Memorial Garden will soon be. This garden project also ties into our back porch project that was started earlier this year. These improvements are all in an effort to bring a better experience to each and everyone one of our visitors who comes in each day. By constantly looking to improve our displays and especially our facilities, we can make each experience for our visitors a memorable one. Also, all of these efforts to improve our facilities are thanks to our volunteers and donors who make it all possible. Without our donors and volunteers the Living History Center would not exists as you see it today. We are forever grateful and will keep your history alive for years to come.
We are now open on Sundays from 1 to 5 until Labor Day, September 2nd so now you have six days to choose from to visit. Also don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram @CNYLivingHistory! Come take a walk through history with us!
