Evangeline “Cookie” Nikolakopoulos is the owner of the antique store in the painted brick building next to the village police station at 41 James Street in Homer. Antiques on James has 5 ½ rooms and ample parking and the location is easy for seniors to shop with no steps to climb.
Antiques on James has an array of Carnival glass, Waterford, Syracuse china, a large variety of Pyrex, Corning ware, milk glass, Depression glass, unique and memorable gifts including furniture, wall art, linens, rugs, antique books and more! Plus a tool room for men! Something for everyone!
Having been in the antiques business for some time, Cookie’s favorite part about her work is searching for special request items for her customers. “You do go out there scouting and you find that special piece and you make your customer thrilled,” she said. “I really enjoy doing that.”
