Host a Holiday Party and Earn Shopping Money!

December is here and, despite the unusually warm weather, it is time to kick holiday shopping into high gear!

The holidays can be stressful for many reasons; at the top of that list is often financial stress or “money worries!”  While winning a lottery or finding a magic genie is something we all hope for, a more realistic approach to dealing with holiday-spending stress is to host a “private party” at The Second Knob Gifts & Antiques!

What is a “Private Party” at The Second Knob?

We offer customers a chance to host their own parties at our shop; this is mutually beneficial for our shop (it helps bring people through our doors) and for you—it helps you earn store credit for your holiday shopping!

Basically, you invite your  family and friends to your party and earn a percentage of sales for the evening!

Parties may  be hosted any evening of the week after 6pm and usually last 2-3 hours. If you need some help with the planning you can consider hiring an expert like this party planner in Washington DC.

Why would  my friends want to come?

Private parties are fun!

Your friends and family  members will, more often than not, be excited to check out the shop and to be able to do so while chatting with friends and enjoying big savings with “party-only” specials/sales we offer! Additionally, during private parties, we do several drawings for door prizes!

Private parties are a great way for friends to enjoy each others’ company and do some holiday shopping!

What do I have to do?

To schedule a party, simply call the shop (607)844-5662! Together, we will set a date and time.

Once that is done, you may invite friends one of several ways:

  1. Create a Facebook event and “invite” all of your friends. This option allows you to send reminders as your party draws closer!

  2. Create a free invitation via Evite (online). You then e-mail your invitation to all of your friends! This option also offers you the ability to send friendly reminders!

  3. The Second Knob will provide you with a printed invite, which you may easily copy and snail mail if you prefer to do that!

4.  Call your friends & family and provide a verbal invitation!

For Your Private Party:

The best part about having a private party is that you don’t have to spend time cleaning your house, setting up tables, food, etc. You don’t have to worry about having enough parking or doing any of the clean-up either!

The evening of your party, bring a snack or two for friends and, perhaps, a bottle of wine or two, soda, or punch!

That’s it…spend the rest of the evening chatting with friends and shopping!

What happens after the party?

After the party, we issue you a gift certificate (a percentage of all of the party sales). You may do your own holiday shopping that evening or shop any time during the next year to use your gift certificate!

You don’t have to worry about any clean-up— we take care of it all!

Most hostesses earn between $125-$250 in store credit! This can buy a lot of gifts!
