Twas the month before Christmas and all through the store
New merchandise was on shelves; we were expecting even more.
We were open seven days a week for the holiday season,
It was for the convenience of our customers—no other reason.
Customers hosted parties, earned credit and had fun,
There was wine and laughing and several prizes were won!
Ornaments were hung on trees with great care;
All tables were covered, and no shelves were bare.
There were beautiful lit canvases tacked on many of our walls;
Snowmen, garland, candles, and USA made glass friendship balls.
There were pip berry wreaths and pip berry rings,
Twigs, sprigs, teardrops, and other pip berry things.
There were antiques downstairs; retro and vintage stuff too.
Our shop was a great mix of very old and brand new!
There was jewelry and bags, scarves, gloves and hats,
There were treats for the kids, for the dogs and the cats.
There were lotions and soaps, signs, cards, flags and more,
The Second Knob had become a one-stop holiday store!
