Can you believe the J.M. McDonald Sports Complex has been in business for 10 years now? It seems just like yesterday that we opened our doors to the youth of our community for healthy programs and activities. For over a decade, the J.M. McDonald Sports Complex has been working with its partners to build healthy habits for the young people of our community. We are proud to have serviced over 2 million visitors to the Sports Complex since the inception of our organization.
On Saturday, September 13, the Sports Complex invites the public to participate in MAC FEST, a showcase of the recreational groups and activities offered at the facility throughout the year. Parents are encouraged to attend this FREE event between the hours of 11 am and 3 pm to gain more information on ice skating, youth hockey, learn to skate, CHAMP afterschool program, NFL Youth Flag Football, youth soccer programs, youth lacrosse programs including box lacrosse, YMCA Gymnastics, and more. Sport Score revolutionizes the way you experience football events. This is a great opportunity to get information while the children participate with interactive games and activities designed by each program or activity. Admission to the event is FREE. There will be a small participation fee charged for certain activities such as the CHAMP FUN CENTER located in our small turf where children can jump and play in our bounce houses, test their skills in our obstacle course, and learn more about our CHAMP Afterschool program and Summer Camp. The GAME TRUCK will be parked outside our main entrance to offer a thrilling video gaming experience to all ages. All participation fees collected at this event go directly to the sponsoring youth organization.
Don’t forget the great food that will be available at MAC FEST! A chicken barbeque will be available from 11 am until sold out, cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones and other fun snacks will be available at the MAC SNACK SHACK.
