9th Annual Taste of Downtown

Cortland area restaurants show off their culinary creativity with a walking sample tour in Historic Downtown Cortland (Main Street and adjacent side streets) in the 9th annual Taste of Downtown hosted by the Cortland Downtown Partnership. The festival will be filled with great food, craft beverages, live music, and entertainment.

Admission includes a collectible glass and a pack of tasting tickets for each stop along the way for only $10. A handy guide and score card is also supplied with your tickets so that you do not to miss a single bite. At the end of your tour, be sure to note your favorites and vote for them at Cortland Beer Company by 3:30 to determine the “Favorite Flavor” of 2014.
New to Taste of Downtown is the addition of the Cortland Comic and Indie Craft Fair in the Marketplace Mall featuring local artists and craft vendors, and special guest, Marvel Comic writer Roger Stern.

PURCHASING TICKETS

Ticket packs are available for purchase July 7 – July 11 for $10 at the following locations:

Cortland Beer Company at 16 Court Streets

(Tues.-Thurs.: 2:00pm – 8:00pm; Fri.- Sun.: 12:00pm – 8:00pm)

Cortland Downtown Partnership at 9 Main Street (pre-sale only)

(Mon.-Fri. 10am – 3pm)

Tickets will ONLY be available at Cortland Beer Company the day of the event. Ticket supplies are LIMITED and sell out quickly. Samples are also limited. Please plan to purchase your tickets before the event and call 607.591.7903 if you plan to visit from out of town and would like to reserve tickets.

VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE FLAVOR

Did a sample of a particular delectable item leave you craving more? Let that restaurant know you think they’re the best! Submit your vote for Favorite Flavor Cortland Beer Company by 3:30pm. The winner will be posted at 4:00pm on Cortland Downtown Partnership’s FaceBook page. Restaurants also appreciate your feedback by your return visit for their complete dining experience. On your next visit, please be sure you mention that you were introduced to them at Taste of Downtown.

CORTLAND COMIC AND INDIE CRAFT FAIR

Located at 64 Main Street the inaugural Cortland Comic and Indie Craft Fair hosts over a dozen craft and comic vendors – from comic book artists, handmade clothing, ceramic artists, and print artists. The fair begins at 10:00am and ends at 4:00pm.

A Community Organized Event

A Taste of Downtown is an annual event in its ninth year produced by the Cortland Downtown Partnership’s (CDP) Promotions Committee. The committee is comprised of volunteer community members and with their support and your help, our downtown will realize its true potential. The CDP is a nonprofit business organization dedicated to maintaining and enhancing Historic Downtown Cortland as a vital retail and cultural center.
