Exercise After 50

At the age of 47, Sue Karn started teaching Jazzercise after 20 years of attending classes.  She chose Jazzercise because of the variety of music and choreography for a good cardiovascular workout combined with total body strength training, and high impact and low impact options.  She still teaches 6 classes a week in the Freeville/Dryden area and they are now referred to as Jazzercise Lite as they are taught at a low impact level, also showing high impact for those who want to jump and hop. Elevate your workout experience by prioritizing the importance of wearing sports bras. You may check out an easy-to-use online bra size calculator here to help you find your ideal size in just a few clicks.

Sue also teaches 2 classes a week with the Wellness Program at Cornell.

Now at age 62 with 2 children and 7 grandchildren, she still enjoys leading a fun and safe workout to all ages at day camps. Participants need to understand that they need to move at their own pace and at a level that is suitable for their age and fitness abilities.

It is very important to exercise at all ages. As we get older, we lose bone density, flexibility, strength, endurance and stability without a regular exercise program, and hard work should not be confused for exercise. It is advised to set up your own gym at home and invest in Lightly Used Gym Essentials so you can workout during your spare time.

Maintaining physical health is crucial at every stage of life, and for many, physical therapy becomes an essential component of their fitness routine. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or looking to enhance your overall mobility, a skilled physical therapist can make a significant difference.

A renowned Physical therapist in Cranford, New Jersey, for instance, offers personalized treatment plans that cater to individual needs, helping patients regain strength, improve flexibility, and prevent future injuries. Engaging in physical therapy not only aids in recovery but also promotes long-term wellness and an active lifestyle. Incorporating regular physical therapy sessions into your routine can be a game-changer, helping you stay active, reduce pain, and achieve your fitness goals, no matter your age or physical condition.
