The Cortland Area Flute Ensemble (CAFE) presents “An Evening of Holiday Favorites for Flute” to be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the OCM BOCES Auditorium, Charles H. McEvoy Campus, Cortland, NY. There is no admission charge; however freewill donations will be accepted at the door to benefit both the ensemble and the victims of the Illinois tornados. There will be a small reception after the concert.
Come join us as we perform the holiday classics as they aren’t ordinarily heard: all flutes! The ensemble is comprised of flutes of different shapes and sizes ranging from the bass flute to the piccolo. The flute ensemble helps usher in the holiday spirit with lively tunes including Jingle Bells, Hanukah, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and many more!
Founded in the fall of 2008, CAFE is an organization of flute enthusiasts collaborating on flute performance opportunities, education, camaraderie, and other activities to support the arts in the local community. CAFE welcomes flutists of all abilities, creating an inclusive ensemble. CAFE has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that makes attending rehearsals nothing but enjoyable!
With our wide range of players, we are happy to present our holiday concert to the community! We hope to see you there, and don’t be afraid to bring a friend or two along with you!
