“Going, once, going twice, sold to number “. That is the sound of an auction at the Jacksonville Community United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 28th . The church is located on Rt. 96 centrally located between Ithaca and Trumansburg. Jim Boyer is the auctioneer and childcare will be provided. The auction starts promptly at 6:45. Those who are in their seats at that time are eligible for a door prize.
Artwork, wood-crafts, furniture, handmade quilt, afghans, flowers, handy services, homemade meals, pies & desserts and so much more have been donated by church members and local community. Check out the church’s website @ jcumc.com to see photos of some of the donated items.
Many people love butterflies and encourage them to live in their gardens. Ten butterflies have been created and individually painted to be auctioned off throughout the evening. The butterflies will be on display in the Gem Shop Window in T-burg. Maybe you will become a lucky owner of such a beautiful creation.
This auction has been going on for over twenty five years supporting undertakings of the church. We break midway of the auction for scrumptious cookies and beverages. Everyone is welcome! Come early, invite a friend, bid often and enjoy the fun of an auction among good friends and neighbors.
