On Tuesday, September 24th, from 6:00-7:00 pm, there will be an open house in the learning center, at Parkside Christian School, at 78 Homer Avenue in Cortland, NY. The scouts will be meeting and planning their activities there. Parents who are interested can call 607-345-1291. The Tuesday open house meeting will be a time for questions, picking up applications, and looking at the Class-B uniforms and Tee Shirts, craft exhibitions and meeting with the outpost leaders.
The Royal Rangers is a nationwide private, non-profit, scouting program for boys, with all the fun activities that a scouting program offers. This scout program is not affiliated with the BSA. Outpost 24 will be offering Ranger Kids (K5-2nd grade) and Discovery Scouts (Gr.3rd-5th). We are also considering starting an Explorer Scout class for Gr.6th – 9th) For over 50 years, the Royal Rangers have provided a traditional values based scouting program, offering indoor and outdoor activities for tens of thousands of young men across America and around the world.
There is a registration fee but this will be applied toward the scouts Class B uniform and outpost insignia and shirt bolo. The Royal Ranger Scout Motto is, “Be Ready”. Outpost meetings usually about 90 minutes long. Scouting is a great way to start off the back fall semester. Meetings are held only twice a month so kids can do their homework and spend time at home.
