Chill-A-Bration’s Family Fun Zone

The Marketplace Mall, on the corner of Court St. and Main St., will be the hub of activity for the family during Chill-A-Bration. Conveniently located indoors, and FREE, the Marketplace Mall businesses will entertain you between samples. Mike the Cartoon Magician will enthrall you 12:00 p.m. – 4 p.m. with balloon animals, caricatures, and magic. Vote for your favorite chili and submit your retailer Passport by 3:30pm and be at the center of it all when event contest winners are announced at 4 p.m.

At 1:30pm College Suites sponsors the second Polar Pie eating contest that is open to all ages. Contestants have a limited time within which to eat as many polar pies as they can. Winner receives a prize and big commemorative trophy suited for such a feat. What’s a polar pie you ask? Sign up at MarketPlace Mall to enter by 1:30pm to find out!

Cortland Prevention Resources is working with the CDP Promotions Committee to make sure our events include substance-free zones for those overcoming substance abuse and mentoring youth. The Family Fun Zone is a hub for family fun including games, an origami and art station, and face painting.
