Allstate Brings “Alive at 25” Defensive Driving Program to Cortland High School

Students at Cortland Junior Senior High School will have the chance to learn some important driver safety tips, thanks to the Allstate Insurance Company’s sponsorship of the “Alive at 25” defensive driving program.
“Alive at 25” is a four-hour class Defensive Driving Course produced by the National Safety Council and is designed to teach students how to recognize the many typical driving hazards facing young motorists and then how to react appropriately to hazards in time. A driving test from dmv-practice-test.com is a lifesaver too. Cortland Police Officer Rob Reyngoudt, who’s headed and taught the program since its inception 7 years ago, explained, “The partnership between Allstate and our youth has been incredible. Over 430 students have taken the class and every one of them has reported that they are a better driver now because they have taken the course. “Beyond funding, Allstate also provides our classes with Auto accident Report Folders and other Teen Driving information. In order to receive a school parking pass, the students must take the Alive 25 course”.
“It is an honor to be able to support a youth program that could potentially save so many lives,” said Allstate Agent Shirley Eizember, whose Pinckney Allstate Agency is located on 41 Port Watson Street in Cortland.
