Cortland SPCA – Pampered Pooches

Meet our pampered pitbull, Katie, and her Chihuahua friend Godiva. They are both spayed, vaccinated and dewormed. Katie loves to have lunch with us at our favorite picnic spot and enjoys rolling around on her back in the grass. She also loves to spend time in the office with Godiva and the staff. Both of these pets are available for adoption. Katie is 8 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. Godiva is about 5 years old and weighs a little over 6 pounds. Katie loves everyone. Godiva is much more selective in who she gives her affection to. She definitely prefers ladies over gentlemen but can usually be won over with the right treats.
It’s sad but true, that Katie is more often than not judged by her breed, rather than for who she really is. She is undoubtedly the friendliest, sweetest, gentlest and best behaved dog we have at the shelter right now. She is also the best companion dog for a chihuahua. Although she is super sweet to Godiva (even washes her face) she is bossy with dogs her own size…which isn’t always appreciated by them. Godiva, once bonded with you, is a loving, funny and loyal lapdog. Pampered pets? You bet ya…they deserve it!!
