2012 Cortland Celtic Festival

The Cortland Celtic Cultural Association proudly presents our new 2012 location of the 12th Annual Cortland Celtic Festival to be held at Dwyer Memorial Park in Little York! A fantastic new location of over 55 acres of beautiful park setting-a great family friendly fun and educational weekend event! We will have Irish Dancers from across NYS, Celtic food & gift vendors, Gaelic Language Performer and workshop, Celtic Musicians, British Car & Motorcycle Exhibit, Beer Tent (featuring Irish & Scottish brews), Celtic Stone Carving, Period Reenactments, Clans, Animals, Pipe & Drum Bands, Kids Games and of course watch the famous muscles, strength and brawn in the Heavy Athletics of the Highland Games! The Renaissance theme will be a new part of the festival this year! We also will be introducing to the Cortland area a ‘Hurling Exhibition Match’ on Sunday presented by the Allentown Hibernian Hurling Club from Pennsylvania…this is the famous Irish pastime sport known as the ‘fastest sport on grass’! You have to see it to believe it! Festival starts 10am – 6pm Saturday August 18 and 10am through 4pm Sunday August 19. $10 admission-children under 17 free!
