Allstate Foundation Donates $1000 to Young Womens Christian Association

Allstate Insurance agent Shirley Eizember of the Pinckney Allstate Insurance Agency, whose office is located at 41 Port Watson Street in Cortland, has received the Agency Hands in the Community Award for her commitment to volunteering in the community. With this award came a $1000 grant from The Allstate Foundation for the Young Womens Christian Association in Cortland, where Eizember serves on the Board of Directors.

“Shirley is an active and respected member of the business community, protecting people with insurance and financial services products,” said Linda Collora, New York regional sales leader at Allstate Insurance Company. “She also makes a point of getting involved personally by dedicating her time and efforts to making a difference in people’s lives.

“Allstate believes that it is very important for corporations to take an active interest in the communities they serve. Allstate is proud to support the Young Womens Christian Association through The Allstate Foundation,” concluded Collora.

This grant helped to fund the program called, Bridges For Kids. This program attaches an adult volunteer with a child aged 5-12. This volunteer serves as a mentor, or special friend who meets with the child once a week for a couple of hours to do fun, enriching activities.
