We have programs and events for everyone all month long! Each week, starting Monday, February 6, there will be a Library Lover’s quiz with a chance to win some sweet treats. Come to the library or visit the website at www.southworthlibrary.org for more details.

Tuesday, February 14, 11 a.m. -join us at the library for our adult book club as we discuss The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot.
Enjoy the Winter Break at the library with activities for kids!
Saturday, February 18 at 12:30 p.m. -Our monthly Family Storytime for Book Lovers of all ages, where they might be able to read a bedtime story about princess. Sponsored by the Bernard Carl and Shirley Rosen Library Grant.
Tuesday, February 21, 2:30 – 3:30 PAWS to READ with Pippin and Biggles – local reading dogs- Cuddle up with a canine and practice reading aloud to an appreciative audience! Sign up at the library to read to them or just drop in for a visit!
Wednesday, February 22, 2:30 – 3:30 LIBRARY BINGO and other games – Open to all! Try a new game or play a familiar favorite…Bananagrams anyone?
Saturday, February 25 at 1:00 p.m. – Winter Escape with Mrs. McPuppet! Join us for songs, rhymes and silly fun at the library! This program is sponsored in part through a generous DYOF grant.
READ BABY READ! EVERY Thursday at 10 a.m. Infant and toddler storytime with rhymes, songs, stories and fingerplays to delight our youngest library patrons. Supported in part by funding from the New York State Library’s Family Literacy Library Services grant program
Preschool Storytime -EVERY Friday at 10 a.m. with stories, crafts and snacks. Give your child the gift of reading!
The American Girls Book Club – Wednesdays, February 8 and February 25, at 3:45 p.m. in the teen room upstairs. This month, in honor of Black History Month, we will focus on ADDY with the history, stories, crafts and snacks of a young black girl in 1864. Contact the library if you would like to join us!
The Southworth Library will be closed on Monday, February 20 for President’s Day. The Southworth Library is at 24 West Main Street in Dryden. Open hours are M-W : 1:30 – 7:30, Thurs: 11-5:30, Friday 11-7:30 and Sat 10 – 2.
