Coming to The Irish Comedy Tour, which takes the party atmosphere of a Dublin pub and combines it with a boisterous, belly-laugh crew, comes to the State Theatre in Ithaca Sunday, March 11th at 8 PM. The Irish Comedy Tour includes Detroit native Derek Richards, Boston-born Mike McCarthy and Joey Carroll, and New Yorker Jim Campbell, all of which have ancestors that hailed from the Emerald Isle. Derek Richards has appeared on The Bob & Tom Show, XM and Sirius, and The Weather Channel’s Top 10 while Mike McCarthy’s no-holds-barred humor has landed him on Comedy Central and Showtime. Joey Carroll is a 20 + year comedy veteran who has taken his act to Comedy Central’s Pulp Comics and to the troops overseas. His clean and clever take on his Irish-Catholic upbringing tears down the house wherever he goes. Jim Campbell, who has fine-tuned his comedy chops across the country as a dueling piano performer, opens the show with riotous original songs that inspire audiences to clap along.
