Greetings from the Cortland Community SPCA

We are excited to announce that we are under new leadership. The Board of Directors is performing the functions of the Executive Director position until such time we hire a new one. Each member brings a wealth of experience and skills to the table coupled with great enthusiasm and dedication to the mission of the CCSPCA. We are so fortunate to have this team and to be working with a highly skilled shelter staff.
Annually, hundreds of abandoned, ailing and/or abused pets find care and compassion from the SPCA staff and volunteers until a loving home can be found. We are a not for profit, NO KILL shelter – we do not euthanize for space!
Need your pet spay or neutered? We offer low cost spay/neuter clinics. It’s good for your pet, It’s good for you and it’s good for the community!
Our community is a caring community that we hope will continue supporting us both financially and with their valuable volunteer time. Our four legged friends certainly need and appreciate it.
.We are currently in search of volunteers for our events/fund raising committee and other committees on our Board of Directors, as well as volunteers at the shelter to assist with pet socialization/walking, kennel care, etc. We look forward to introducing new programs and enhancing current programs and would love to have new faces with fresh ideas to help!
Be watching for our Holiday Donation Trees beginning around Thanksgiving – more information and donation sites are available on our website www.cortlandspca.org.
Please visit us at our website or on our Facebook (Cortland Community SPCA) page for more information on the programs and services we offer.
Last, but certainly not least…. Many thanks to Valley View Gardens, 3797 Luker Road for donating a Weeping Cherry Tree as a memorial to our beloved Diamond, and to Lindsay Kemp at Country Acres for taking care of Diamond’s cremation. RIP Diamond – we love and miss you!
