Join Running to Places at the Hangar Theatre on Sunday, October 23 at 4:00pm to enjoy performances of musical theatre numbers by friends of R2P who’ve appeared on Broadway as well as local favorites.  The concert features Kevin Crewell of Broadway’sSpamalot and the 1st National Tour of Drowsy Chaperone, Abby Church of Broadway’s “White Christmas” and Chicago’s Billy Elliot, Steven Goldsmith of Chicago’s Jersey Boys, and Kim Stern, a Broadway veteran performer and NYC solo artist.  Local favorites Daniel Kiely, Erica Steinhagen and Joey Steinhagen will also appear.  A reception with delectable delights and a silent auction featuring local goodies and swag from Broadway follows the entertainment!

Tickets are on sale now at www.runningtoplaces.org for $25, and will also be available at the door beginning at 3pm on the day of the event until sold out.   All proceeds directly reduce the cost of participation for all middle and high school members involved in the theatre company. Running to Places connects middle and high school students from across the Tompkins County area, teaching important life skills and strengthening community while creating great theatre. Founded in 2007, they were named “Best Community Theatre Company of 2010” by the readers of the Ithaca Times.
