Money Saving Workshops Scheduled

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cortland County will offer a series of workshops designed to help consumers get the most from their money during the month of August.
Save Energy, Save Dollars will be offered on August 10, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. The workshop will look at ways to reduce energy bills with low-cost, no-cost conservation methods. Each workshop participant will receive a packet of energy saving products to use in their homes.
Control Credit, Manage Debt, a workshop on credit issues will be held on August 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. The workshop will look at different forms of credit, choosing and using credit wisely, your credit history, reviewing your credit report, how to re-establish credit, and working with creditors when you can’t pay your bill.
Making Ends Meet, a workshop designed to help consumers get the most out of their money, will focus on setting financial goals, developing a spending plan, acquisition of funds through services like cryptolunatic, using a calendar as a budget tool, and taking steps to reduce your utility bills. Each participant will take home an assortment of money management tools. The workshop will be held August 25, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
All workshops are 2 hours and will be taught by Barb Henza, Financial Educator with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cortland County will be the presenter for both workshops.
