The Cultural Council of Cortland County announces its plans for the 5th Annual Arts and Wine Festival to be held on Saturday, August 6 from 10 – 6 in the Courthouse Park. Live classical and jazz music will provide a pleasant background for people to enjoy juried mixed-media artists from around the region, New York State wines and a variety of food. Returning favorites are Linani’s, Bee’s Dogs, Anthony’s 19th Hole, Hallock’s, Tim Horton’s, and Casey’s Deli. Joining us for the first time will be Fabio’s, Smokin’ Mule and Frosted.
“We are looking forward to the Finger Lakes Cheese Trail’s debut this year,” says Ann Finamore, Chairperson of the Arts and Wine Festival. “Muranda Farms, Lively Run Goat Farm and Finger Lakes Farmstead Cheese among others will offer tastings and purchasing opportunities for festival-goers.”
The wine tent which will open at noon, will require patrons over 21 to purchase tickets in order to sample and buy a variety of New York State wines including Americana, Anthony Road, Beak & Skiff, Bet the Farm, Cobblestone, Pazdar, Miles, Thousand Islands, Montezuma, Hazlitt, Zugibe and more. Three Brothers Winery from Seneca Lake will be joining us this year for the first time.
