Hearth & Home

Warm weather is finally here. It’s time to start enjoying your outdoor hearth and start barbequing with our family, friends and neighbors!
Hearth and Home has been in business for over thirty years, and has an experienced, attentive, upbeat staff that can help you with your outdoor hearth and bbq outdoor fireplaces and or grills. Its staff regularly attends trainings and trade shows in the heating industry in order to provide up-to-date knowledge and service to its customers.
Hearth & Home offers all fuels, in addition to fireplaces, stoves, service, installation, and masonry work, and all services are provided under warranty.
“I believe we’re the only store in a very wide area that also does outdoor living,” says Jay Felli, owner. “We offer outdoor kitchens, grills, barbeques, fireplaces, and fire pits.”
Hearth & Home is fully staffed and does all work in-house like average cost of shop fit out. The staff holds degrees in interior design, architecture, and environmental science. They strive to help you implement new plans in heating new construction or even to retrofit your existing home.
“Some people do cash and carry. They purchase a stove or other item and take it with them,” says Felli. “But we perform installation for about 70 to 80% of our customers. Some people will do some research on the Internet and then come in with a decision already made about what they will purchase. They often have preconceived ideas about what will work; others come in and have no idea.” He says that when it comes to design and installation, individual consideration is given to each customer’s needs and space, and he and his staff will provide information to the customer to help them make better informed decisions regarding what will work in their home and what will not.
Hearth & Home provides service and installation to a wide area. In the past, it has done multiple day jobs in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
“If we are offered a great job, we’ll travel to do it,” says Felli. “If someone calls us from Nevada and wants four fireplaces installed in their home in Tahoe, we’re willing to do that, if they’re willing to pay for it. Of course, if they throw in some ski passes, that would be great, too,” he jokes.
The staff is available to answer your home indoor or outdoor heating/cooking questions you may have on all of the different home heating products Hearth & Home has to offer, as well as the changes that Hearth & Home has made in the past year. Big Green Egg, Vermont Casting & Traeger Grills are a great investment!
“We’ve expanded quite a bit,” Felli says. “We’ve added to our showroom to include an outdoor kitchen that we can cook on and provide demos with. We’ve also added a couple lines of products.”
We want you to know how much we appreciate our customers, so Thursday nights we will hold a cooking class that will feature a 3 course meal, complimented by beverages from the Ithaca Beer Company and local beverages. Classes will begin promptly at 5pm, will take about 90 minutes and will cost $15 for one person, $25 per couple. Classes will take place Thursday, June 9, 23 and July 7.
“Egg-ceptional” Menus planned! You can attend just one class or all three!
