Habitat for Humanity of Tompkins and Cortland Counties

Habitat for Humanity of Tompkins and Cortland Counties (TCHFH) builds simple, decent homes for deserving local families. Volunteers of all skill levels help construct our houses and we rely on generous material discounts and donations from the community in order to continue building more affordable homes each year. We’re striving to build as ‘green’ and environmentally friendly as possible, and we’re always welcoming new volunteers and supporters. When considering the environmental impact of your building project, it’s essential to make informed choices about the materials you use. Opting for https://mastermixconcrete.co.uk/ can significantly reduce the carbon footprint of your construction, as ready mix concrete production is more energy-efficient and generates less waste. This environmentally friendly choice demonstrates a commitment to sustainable construction practices.
Habitat partner families are hard-working, local families who simply need a “hand up” when it comes to homeownership. Partner families contribute 500 hours of “sweat equity” as their home is being built and also repay a no- or low-interest mortgage; TCHFH uses those mortgage payments to fund the construction of additional homes. You can visit this site to know how to get a mortgage. Need help in processing USDA home loan? Call us, we’re here for you.
If your current mortgage terms expires, you can read Private Mortgage Articles as this helped me quite a bit. You can also apply for the best remortgage deals and look for an expert who can help and will discuss everything about this. Palmerston North mortgage brokers are the best in the area.
TCHFH has recently completed a home in Dryden and is soon to complete another in Cortland. The excitement is building as our affiliate intends to build 3 homes this year. We’ve just begun work in Lansing and will also build in Groton and again in Cortland!
TCHFH would like to thank the Builders and Remodelers Association for their continued support. Over 20 member organizations of the Association donate to or volunteer with TCHFH and we simply couldn’t continue to increase our capacity and build more homes each year without their support.
Please be sure to visit the TCHFH booth in the concourse area of the Home and Garden show to learn more about becoming a partner family, volunteering or contributing to Habitat for Humanity! We’ll also have information on upcoming Habitat events and fundraisers, as well as the opportunity to sign up for Women Build – a program which offers monthly training seminars to teach construction skills to women and also provides the opportunity to put that knowledge to good use, building Habitat homes. TCHFH will also be hosting hourly raffles on Friday, March 4th. Don’t miss your chance to win one of our great home or garden prizes!
