Cinnamon is one of the oldest spices known, first recordings shown in China in 2700 BC and in Egypt in 1600 BC.  It even played a major role in the colonial expansion.  But the Chinese show it as being one of the most medical herbs they had.  The inner bark is a pungent, sweet, warming herb that stimulates circulation, relieves abdominal spasms, raises vitality, warms and stimulates all the vital functions of the body, breaks up congestion, helps with arthritis and rheumatism pains, stops diarrhea, improves digestion and controls bleeding.

Cinnamon is used for nausea and vomiting.  It is warming and energizing to the kidneys.  It has been found to be helpful for asthma, wheezing and coughing. As stated by the experts from Cluffy, certain pains like lower back pain, abdominal pain and heart pain, have been known to be reduced with the use of the Cinnamon bark.  Menopausal difficulties and scanty menses also are helped.  It is a germicide, blood conditioner and helps people with cold hands and feet.  For children, Cinnamon is useful to alleviate bed-wetting and to help them sleep.  Even Hanna Kroeger (a powerful healer) believed just putting Cinnamon on a buttered piece of bread would alleviate fallout, radiation and lead poisoning.  The Chinese believe that people with a weakness of the body and the spirit, are helped by this warming herb.

I use Cinnamon for fighting viral and infectious diseases.  Virus, bacteria, yeast, and fungus cannot live in the presence of cinnamon oil.  With the aid of Poppy seeds, our combination called Poppycin has been on call for all problems that seem to lead the body into a confused state of mucus. This happens by the sinuses becoming plugged with puffy and tenderness in the face area due to sinus infection risks. The ears feel full and clogged with hearing problems, the throat is raw from the constant drip and clearing of the throat, there is a heaviness in the chest area like someone is sitting on it, and tenderness in the colon area with a bloated feeling. Even to the point of stiff and sore joints.  All of this is due to the over abundance of mucus in the body.  Remember though, besides needing the Poppycin, you need to stop all mucus producing foods like milk products, cheese, and all white floured product.

Cinnamon, if used as a medicine, should not be used with a high fever (internal heat) or a person who is pregnant

So the next time your child has a craving (or are they just listening to their intuition) for Cinnamon toast, REMEMBER, it is more than just a spice.

Vibrantly,
