2014 Marks 10th Year for the Cortland Holistic Living Expo and Psychic Fair

The Cortland Holistic Living Expo and Psychic Fair is a fun and informative annual event that takes place at the Ramada Inn, 2 River Street, Cortland, NY. This year’s event dates are October 11 and 12, with hours on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Expo promoters, Dave and Lee Seaward, have carried on the tradition for 10 years. It has been their desire to create an Expo supporting ideas on healthy living by bringing local holistic vendors and alternative healthcare practitioners together in one place to share their offerings with the public.

Professional Psychics & Mediums with various areas of expertise is a distinctive feature of the Fair. Participating in the event this year will be: Cindy Griffith, Ted Silverhand-Native Seer, Dennis Cole, Corbie Mitleid, Georgia Cuningham, Mark Shaughnessy, Sandra Argus, Sarina, Barbara Konish, Danielle Lattieer, Coryelle Kramer, Barbara Bennett and Sandra Fioramonti-Sabene. The Holistic Practitioners and Vendors to see at the show are: Two Hawks Gallery from Homer, NY, the 2011 & 2012 winners of the NY Times People’s Choice award for Best Crystal and Gemstone Marketplace and Central New York’s largest providers of crystals, minerals, metaphysical and spiritual items. A staple for all 10 years of the fair is Beth Hill owner of Beth’s Natural Way in Truxton, NY. Beth will offer Kinesiology and organic food items. Hillwoman Productions will feature artfully blended herbs, oils and incense. Linda Bloser of Aura Reflections will be available to take Aura & Chakra photos and give a complete analysis. Two more 10 year veteran vendors, Orion Books and Hathaway Elementals will complement the show with a variety of books, jewelry and an array of holistic items.

Additionally, lectures and workshops are available to attendees throughout the weekend. The special presentation for this year will be an interactive workshop using Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls given by Damon Matteson. This is an opportunity for the public to experience the sound/vibration created by the bowls and see how the bowls can be used in everyday life for stress reduction, meditation, space clearing or by holistic practitioners in their practices. The workshop will be held twice each day. Kicking off the lectures for the weekend will be Don Brennan a registered Reiki Master Teacher from the Syracuse area. At 11 a.m. on Saturday, Don will be instrumental in guiding the public on “Finding Life’s Purpose with Reiki”. Rounding out the weekend of lecturers is internationally renowned Psychic, teacher, and author, Cindy Griffith- Bennett. Her talk is about “Starting a Spiritual Business in the Internet Age” featuring tips on attracting clients and developing a digital image. Over the years the Expo has offered ways of giving back to the people in the community. Each year they sponsor a food drive to benefit the Cortland County Nutrition Program’s Food Pantry and a few years ago, a raffle was added to assist those fighting Cancer. Both of these causes will be in the forefront again this year. Attendees of the fair have been very generous in their contributions of money and non-perishable food items that help numerous families throughout the Central New York area and beyond. Admission to the Expo has not changed since the start of the event 10 years ago. It is still only $6.00 per day which includes admittance to the lectures and workshops given that day.
