7pm, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 46 N. Main Street in Cortland. The 52 member Missouri State University Concert Chorale is the primary touring choir of the Department of Music at MSU. The group has toured extensively, both nationally and internationally. The program at St. Mary’s will include works by J. S. Bach, Thomas Tallis, Stephen Paulis and others. It will also feature three spirituals: “Been in de Storm/Wayfaring Stranger,” “You Better Mind,” and “Daniel, Servant of the Lord.” The Chorale is directed by Dr. Guy B. Webb, who served as Director of Choirs at SUNY Cortland from 1966-1975. He holds degrees from the Juilliard School, Columbia University, and the Universityof Illinois. Free admission.
